So you hear the phrase "Ive Revalved my forks" or "My mate says he has had his shock re-valved"

Well.... what does that mean?

In essence there are two ways of improving a fork and one to improve a shock. With forks you either change the whole cartridge or you "revalve it" and with a shock other than changing the unit or giving it service you can only re-valve it.

So what is re-valving? Revalving is the process of changing either the shim stack or individual shim and/or the piston assembly. The reason this is done is to improve the performance of the unit and tailor it to an individual where possible. OE equipment is built to cover a wide range of people and uses - so the quality / feel of a bike is a little compromised. 

We can re-valve your bike using a pre-determined products from compnaies such as K-Tech, Ohlins, Andreani or Racetech or we can create a bespoke re-valve.

Fork Revalves can be done for as little as £80 and shocks from as little £50 - This is in addition to a service and strip down.
